Saugeen Valley Source Protection Area

The Saugeen Valley Source Protection Area encompasses the jurisdiction of the Saugeen Valley Conservation Authority. About 90,000 people (2001 Census) live in this area, which covers approximately 4675 sq km. The major watershed is the Saugeen River, which is also the third largest watershed in Southern Ontario. The Penetangore River, Pine River and smaller lake fringe watersheds that also drain into Lake Huron are part of the Saugeen Valley SPA.
